ADL supporters joined Consul General of Mexico Carlos M. Sada and leaders of the Latino community for a reception held in the terraced backyard of the consulate’s official residence on October 2.
More than 90 people mingled and “schmoozed” during the cocktail reception co-sponsored by ADL’s International Affairs Committee and the Mexican Consulate. ADL Pacific Southwest Regional Director Amanda Susskind spoke about ADL’s Centennial and opportunities for community leaders and the diplomatic corps to engage in dialogue on issues that affect the security and well-being of Jewish communities around the world. Consul General Sada spoke of the long-standing and important connections between the Mexican and Jewish communities as well as the countries of Israel and Mexico.
Members of the diplomatic corps from Argentina, Austria, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary, Israel, Romania and Spain also attended the reception.
ADL’s Latino Jewish Roundtable is celebrating its 21st year of partnership among Latinos and Jews in Los Angeles. Anyone interested in participating in programs that address topics of mutual concern should email LA@adl.org or call 310-446-4232.
