The Anti-Defamation League will partner with El Caballero Country Club for the 31st Annual ADL/El Caballero Golf Tournament & Awards Dinner on Wednesday, September 10.  At the event, ADL will honor Jonathan Cookler with the Sam Saltsman Award and Jack Sheldon Neinstein and Kenneth A. Miles of NSBN LLP with the Corporate Community Service Award. We are pleased to celebrate these three honorees for their work in our community and their commitments to philanthropy.

Jonathan Cookler has spent much of his life actively involved in the Jewish community, promoting social justice, helping people in need and building for the future.  He first became involved through the Jewish Federation and has since held committee chairmanships for the Valley Alliance of the Federation and the Federation of Los Angeles.  Cookler has also served on the boards of Valley Beth Shalom and Abraham Joshua Heschel Day School and was a founder of New Community Jewish High School. He has a special place in his heart for ADL and serves on its Board of Directors and Executive Committee, is a National Commissioner and has previously chaired the Annual Dinner Celebration and the ADL/El Caballero Golf Tournament. Cookler is president of Avalon Investment, a real estate development company.

Jack Sheldon Neinstein, CPA and Kenneth A. Miles, CPA are both partners at NSBN LLP, CPAs & Business Consultants, and are extremely active in the community.  Neinstein provides tax planning and financial analysis for the real estate industry.  He has supported numerous non-profits over the years including United Jewish Fund–Valley Alliance, City of Hope, Abraham Joshua Heschel Day School and ADL.  He serves on boards of private foundations that support the Los Angeles Jewish Home, Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust, New Community Jewish High School, numerous synagogues, Ahmanson Theater, Geffen Playhouse, UCLA School of Medicine and USC Norris Cancer Center. He has also served as Treasurer of El Caballero Country Club. Miles, Managing Partner of NSBN, provides business management services for high net worth individuals.  He currently sits on the boards of New Horizons, serving in the roles of Secretary and Chair Elect; and the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles–Valley Alliance, where he previously served as Men’s Co-Chair. He also serves as Vice President, Executive Committee member, and member of the Board of Trustees of Temple Ahavat Shalom.  Over the past 20+ years, NSBN has raised funds and donated over $2 million to charity.

The full day of golf tournament activities includes lunch, 18 holes of golf on a renowned course, hole-in-one opportunities, cocktails, a raffle, live auction, dinner and awards presentation.  Proceeds from the event will go towards ADL programs.
