  • May 6, 2015

Members of the 2014-15 Pacific Southwest Region Glass Leadership Institute class attended the 2015 Shana Amy Glass National Leadership Summit May 3-5 in Washington, D.C. The conference brought together nearly 400 ADL leaders from across the country for a series of briefings and interactive sessions with administration officials, ambassadors, pop culture figures, senators and foreign policy experts including The Honorable Cory Booker, The Honorable John McCain, White House Chief of Staff Dennis McDonough, Ambassador Dennis Ross, PAC-12 Commissioner Larry Scott and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

Monday night’s dinner was a celebration of National Director Abraham Foxman and his fifty years of service to ADL. This dinner was followed by a reception to welcome incoming National Director Jonathan Greenblatt who spoke about his connection to ADL via the Boston and Los Angeles regions, as well as his passion for the next generation of ADL leaders.

On the final day of the conference, participants lobbied their senators on issues important to ADL including preventing a nuclear Iran, supporting a strong US-Israel relationship and the rise of anti-Semitism in Europe. With over forty people, California had the largest lobbying group.
