ADL Speaks at Town Hall Hosted by LA Urban League

  • February 7, 2019

On January 30, young professional groups of the Los Angeles Urban League and ADL gathered at the Hot and Cool Café for a town hall discussion with ADL Regional Board Chair Scott Harris and LAUL Vice President and COO Brian Williams. LAUL’s Christine Slaughter moderated the dialogue, addressing challenges facing each respective group, the recent spike in hate crimes, and the discrimination in our criminal justice system.

Harris said “we’re often more similar than different” and pointed out that coalition building is a critical tool for ADL’s dual mission of fighting anti-Semitism and bigotry of all kinds. Williams agreed with Harris and they pledged to support each other by building intergroup coalitions.
