ADL Trains Inland Empire Educators in Echoes and Reflections

  • September 22, 2014

ADL was recently invited by the office of the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools to lead a full-day training for local educators on Echoes and Reflections – Leaders in Holocaust Education.  On September 17, educators from throughout the Inland Empire, including Apple Valley, Victorville, Fontana, and Rialto, joined Associate Regional Director Matthew Friedman in Rancho Cucamonga to study the Visual History Testimony, the Pedagogy of the Holocaust, and how to use the Echoes and Reflections Teacher’s Resource Guide.

Participants were also introduced to IWitness, an online searchable archive of testimony from Holocaust survivors and other witnesses created by our partner organization, the USC Shoah Foundation.
