Emerging ADL Leaders Graduate from Glass Leadership institute Program

  • June 22, 2016

Los Angeles-based members of the 2015-16 Glass Leadership Institute (GLI) class graduated from the ten-month leadership development program on Tuesday, June 21 at the home of GLI alumna Sharyn Nichols. The evening began with members of the class sharing their positive experiences and highlights of the program. Many spoke of pride in their alignment with such a relevant and timely civil rights organization and their excitement about future activism and leadership.

Incoming Regional Board Chair Ivy Kagan Bierman and outgoing Chair Eric Kingsley were also on-hand to share their experiences with ADL and to encourage the graduating class to remain involved moving forward. ADL staff reminded the group that graduation is not the end, but rather the beginning of a long-term relationship with ADL moving forward.

Following graduation, GLI participants are invited to further explore the different facets of ADL’s work by auditing Regional Board meetings, joining ADL committees, and becoming NextGen Ambassadors. Graduates are also encouraged to become part of the organization’s efforts to develop and cultivate other emerging leaders via the NextGen Planning Committee.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2016-17 GLI class. The application submission deadline is August 5 and sessions begin in September.
