A group of about twenty NextGen Ambassadors and ADL supporters gathered at the home of Jennifer Hannon on February 10 to hear Alan Moss, former Head of International Relations in the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet).
Alan, who often speaks in Israel to ADL’s law enforcement mission participants, spoke about the current terror threat in Israel and surrounding territories. He also shed light upon the complicated political situation throughout the Middle East, including Israel’s relations with Egypt, Lebanon and the Arab settlements. Alan commented that, overall, “life is good in Israel.” Israelis do not feel threatened day-to-day by the prospect of war and random terror. However, Alan noted that things can change at any moment and, given the complexities of the situation, true peace is not likely to be achieved in our time.
