Glass Leadership Institute
The Glass Leadership Institute (GLI) is the Anti-Defamation League’s nationally recognized leadership development program.
Offered in more than 20 regions, GLI is a ten-month program designed to educate a select group of dynamic young adults in their 30′s and 40′s about the crucial and multifaceted work of ADL. The Institute provides a series of intensive, stimulating, informative and interactive seminars on hate crimes, terrorism, extremism, global anti-Semitism, separation of church and state, Israel advocacy, government affairs, anti-bias training, Holocaust education and other relevant, front page topics. Participants attend monthly evening meetings and participate in ADL’s Shana Amy Glass National Leadership Conference in Washington D.C.
GLI has a rigorous admission standard and is now one of the most sought-after young leadership programs in Los Angeles. Applications are accepted in June and July and the program begins in September. Participants attend monthly evening meetings from September through June and are also invited to attend exclusive ADL events and programs throughout the year.
GLI serves as a communal forum and ultimately aims to develop and strengthen a cadre of leaders who will be effective ADL advocates; educate young professionals on the core mission and programs of the League; and equip emerging leaders with tools to confront the issues facing the Jewish community and our community-at-large.
