Glass Leadership Institute Launches for 2014-15

  • September 22, 2014

ADL welcomed 17 new Glass Leadership Institute participants to an orientation session for the 2014-2015 class. The Glass Leadership Institute (GLI) is a ten-month leadership program for professionals in their 30s and 40s who are committed to ADL’s mission “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people…to secure justice and fair treatment to all.” Participants are nominated by community members and are chosen for their leadership potential and commitment to ADL’s mission.

Co-chairing this year are alumni Justin Barton, who welcomed the group over dinner and spoke about his connection with ADL beginning in high school, and Dalia Khalili, who recently traveled to Germany on an ADL NextGen Mission.  As part of this initial session, participants in turn introduced themselves and shared their reasons for joining the group.

Participants will gain exposure to the League’s work through monthly meetings featuring presentations from regional and national ADL staff and community leaders. In May, participants will travel to Washington DC for ADL’s annual National Leadership Summit where they will meet other GLI groups from around the country and participate in panel discussions and workshop sessions featuring national media figures and senior policy makers.
