Law Enforcement agencies throughout the four-county area served by the ADL Pacific Southwest Region were notified about the dates of the upcoming Jewish High Holidays.
ADL’s message stated, “These holidays are among the most holy in the Jewish religion and their prayer services are among the most widely attended of all the Jewish holidays of the year. In light of heightened tensions related to the current conflict between Israel and Hamas, we are encouraging institutions to be particularly vigilant this year as we enter the High Holiday season. You may wish to draw special attention of patrols to synagogues and Jewish institutions at these times.”
The message also mentioned the holiday of Sukkot, explaining that the traditional “huts” built outdoors during this festival could be a target for vandalism.
